Q?Can the training plan be custom designed to accommodate my work, school, travel, etc.?
A.

Yes! All training plans are tailor made to fit your needs. We realize not everyone has the perfect window of opportunity on a daily basis to get out for a ride. We build each program to work specifically for you, taking into account your personal schedule and all things related to your time available to train.

Q?Do I need a heart rate monitor, power meter, GPS unit, etc. to work with a coach?
A.

No. Any and all training devices are optional, and not required to work with a Colt Training Systems coach. While these devices will undoubtedly bring great value to your training, the only coach-required feedback from the athlete is sensory data. (And maybe a watch.)

Q?Can I get a discount if I pay up front?
A.

Yes! Discounted rates are available for up-front payment. Contact us for more info on coaching prices.

Q?My team, club, group of friends, etc. are preparing for the same event. Do you offer group packages?
A.

Groups are recommended to try our 8 week PR Package for the best deal. Groups looking for more in-depth coach-athlete interaction are encouraged to contact us for custom rates and packages.

Q?How are the training plans delivered?
A.

As a Colt Training Systems client you will receive a free premium membership to trainingpeaks.com. All workouts, data, and analysis will take place in your personal online account. You will have the option to print or download the schedule as well as receive daily email notifications with that day’s workout and instruction.

Q?I race _____ in the Spring/Summer and _____ in the Fall/Winter. Will my coach and training plan be able to accommodate this?
A.

Yes! Many of our athletes spend their summers racing road or triathlons followed by a winter of ‘Cross, etc. Interested athletes are encouraged to contact us for a free coaching consultation where we can address your specific needs and goals.

Q?Do you offer on-site coaching?
A.

Yes. Colt Training Systems works with athletes in person at all of our regular training camps, group training rides, as well as at specific races throughout the year. Contact us for more information about a personal, one-on-one training session or race support.

Q?I’m new to the sport, not planning to race, just trying to get in shape, etc. Is Colt Training Systems right for me?
A.

Yes! Our coaching system works for all levels of athletes, no matter your previous history or future goals. All plans are custom fit to your experience level, time available, and goals moving forward.
